October 13th 2021 is the official release date of this device, but this year there are a lot of new features to look out for. Let us start with one of the possible major change in terms of software. Over the years OnePlus has kept its device software very close to a stock Android feel with it’s OxygenOS, but with the OnePlus 9RT everything might change. With this device OnePlus might just be switching to its sister company Oppo’s Color OS. This year the latest version of the Color OS comes with a lot of beautiful features, you can check them out on the Color OS official twitter page. This device will launch with Android 11 out of the box alongside the Color OS 11, this possible merger might only be seen on the Chinese version of the OnePlus 9RT while the global version will come with the OxygenOS 12. This further confirms the statement made by OnePlus CEO Pete Lau who said that “OxygenOS and ColorOS will be integrated into one system in 2022 with the launch of the next major Android update”.
